Day 28 Geneva – Vevey, 89kms

Our first stage today was to ride along the north shore of Lake Geneva.  Clem and Lesley were going to take a different route, but we kept catching up with one another to eventually all arrive at Vevey.
Once again the scenery was spectacular.  Lots of green landscape and rugged mountain tops.  Lake Geneva has numerous marinas heavily populated with very expensive looking boats.  Some were sail, others motor boats, but there didn’t appear to be a lot of use being made of them.  Maybe we were too early in the morning.  The houses along the lake are generally large and have locked security gates.
The views of the surrounding hillsides were very rural and we were surprised to see lots of grape vines.  The day was overcast, so great for riding.
Dined at the tents and avoided rain showers that we could see approaching us from the other side of the lake.  We all ended up camped at the same campground.  The three tents all had million dollar views.
